Has it ever came to a hot day of the year, probably the only hot day of the year for us who live in Britain, and you realise all you have in your wardrobe is big knitted jumpers, and long sleeved baggy tops? Even worse when they’re pretty much every shade of black to hide all the extra trimmings you ate over Christmas.
Getting out to the shops can be quiet a daunting challenge, especially with all the super bright patterns you see thrown all over Instagram these days. Florals?! Polka dots?! Plain? Too plain? Arghhh. It puts my brain into over-drive.
Keeping up with the latest fashions can be hard, especially if you’re a student like me, money definitely doesn’t grow on trees.
SO I’ve decided to make your summer wardrobe easier this year, I’ve put together a few outfit ideas, something that can easily be worn on those warmer days, but also super trendy too.
This top is the perfect example of something light and comfortable but yet so stylish and keeping up with the ‘layers’ trend which everybody seems to be loving this year, and plus it is so flattering if your not bikini bod ready yet. At £19.99 this was definitely my bargain buy, as you have two tops for the price of one!
I personally love hats, and it gives a little edge to your outfit. This ones perfect for keeping your face cool in the hot months to come and at £16 I thought that was relatively reasonable. Find it here.
These jeans go with anything, they’re the perfect blue to match with any top or jacket, and the rips this year are really in, no matter how many times my dad says “Are you going to take them back they’ve got holes in?” No Dad, it’s called fashion. (Something he doesn’t know much about it haha).
These boots were purchased a few years ago so I’ve found some similar here.
I think any brown ankle boot will go well with most outfits this summer. Especially light brown as it’s a warmer tone.
These boots have a zip detail and if you’re small like me then a little heel like this will not only add to the outfit, but also give you that extra bit of height.
This Kimono is gorgeous, super light, but comfy and easy to throw on with any plain vest top.
You could pick any colour out of the floral pattern to bring the colours out more. I chose a coral coloured vest top to go under it.
This look is super festively, and you could even pair it with some denim shorts or skirt to spice it up even more.
This shift dress is perfect for those really hot days, where everything is too much or too heavy. This is super thin and light, the open back makes it super stylish and I would definitely pair this with some ankle boots for the perfect garden party outfit!
This is really colourful and the pattern is very unusual if you’re looking for something different to wear this summer!
I hope you liked my first summer look book, and it gives you some inspiration for this years outfits!
