Goddess nutrition: review

Hi guys,

For the last few weeks I’ve been testing a new protein out for you lot.

I have really wanted to try Goddess Nutrition products for a long time, as for me, it’s a brand I see everywhere, especially on Instagram and Facebook.

So I wanted to test how good it is for you all, and for those wanting to try a new protein, this may just be your next purchase.

So firstly, I was really excited that they sent me their gym bag, as that is something I lack when I go to the gym.

I normally just carry my handbag everywhere with me, but this is so much more convenient, as it fits everything in, including my trainers and new Goddess shaker!

The gym bag comes with a longer adjustable strap so you can also wear it over your shoulder.

I love it, if you’re after a new gym bag then you can buy a goddess nutrition one for £19.99 here.

The colours are perfect to match my gym attire.

The next thing I was extremely excited to receive was the juicy apple flavoured BCCA’s.

Now I’ll openly admit I am a bit of a fitness geek, and have wanted to try BCCA’s while training for a while now.

If you don’t know what BCCA’s are, then I’ll briefly explain.

First off, BCAAs stands for “Branched Chain Amino Acids.” Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. There are nine essential amino acids in total, but there’s a key trio that helps you maintain muscle: leucine, isoleucine, and valine. Of these three, leucine is the muscle-building powerhouse.

So when your glycogen stores run low, your body relies on the three types of BCAA’s for fuel, and unfortunately our body can’t produce these on their own so we have to get them from our diet.

So BCAA’s will evidently promote muscle growth and repair and reduce muscle soreness after exercise.

BCAA’s will also boost your energy level after a workout.

BCAA’s can also help make you feel fuller too as they affect the sensitivity of the hunger hormone, leptin.

I have been doing a lot more weight lifting recently to try and tone up for my holiday, so I tried drinking my BCAA’s (in my new Goddess Nutrition shaker) during my workouts.

It tasted really good, just a sweet apple taste to help me fuel my thirsty workouts.

Goddess Nutrition do a lot of other flavours in the BCAA range, so I will definitely try the others at some point too.

I really did see some positive effects after taking BCAA’s during and after my workouts.

It did boost my performance and I didn’t suffer from no where near as much muscle soreness as I would normally.

I was able to get up and train just as hard the next day without having to worry about achy muscles.

For me this is a 10/10.

They also sent me some protein pudding which is absolutely great if you’re a sucker with a sweet tooth.

This helps those late night cravings, and you’re actually getting a whole bunch of benefits from it. BONUS!!

◦ 15g protein per serving

◦ Low in calories (135 per serving)

◦ Essential for muscle repair

◦ Improves muscle tone

It’s also vegetarian friendly and gluten free.

I was sent the summer berry flavour and it was delicious, but if you’re more of a chocolatey type of gal, then definitely go for the Molten chocolate flavour.

All you have to do is add one scoop to 125ml of milk or water in your Goddess shaker and shake well. Then transfer liquid to a microwaveable bowl and heat on full power for 2 1/2 minutes and wallaaaa!

No more late night binges, your diet won’t be ruined by those cravings.

The summer berry flavour was very tasty, and light, I will definitely be using this

whenever I crave something sweet.

I rate this 8/10.

Last but not least, is their protein.

I was sent two of my favourite flavours, Belgian chocolate and Strawberries & cream.

Now the great thing about this is, you can actually buy the sample sachets for £1.99 to try for yourself before purchasing a bigger box.

This is also very convenient if you’re always on the go.

It’s super easy to just chuck a sachet in your bag, and mix it up whether you’re at work, travelling or just out and about.

I personally LOVED the chocolate flavour.

It had a whopping 23g of protein per serving and I mixed it with almond milk for that extra sweetness.

◦ Calories – 110kcal

◦ Protein – 23g

◦ Total Carbs – 4.5g

◦ Sugars – 1g

◦ Total Fat – 0.3g

◦ Saturates – 0.1g

The strawberries and cream flavour also won me over too.

I mean 23g of protein in a drink which tastes like a milkshake… what’s not to love?

If I’m totally honest, I didn’t expect the protein to taste THIS good.

I rate the Belgian chocolate 9/10 and Strawberries and cream flavour 8/10.

Goddess nutrition is a brand really focused on making their products taste good, but not only that, provide the right nutrition for your body, to power you through every workout.
